Livelihood and employment

Drug abuse is yet another negative consequence of youth unemployment in Kenya whereby many young people consume drugs to the detriment of their health sometimes resulting in death. The drug abuse problem is further exacerbated by the easy availability of cheap drugs within reach of many youth who end up filling in their free time consuming these drugs ending up as drug addicts who are unproductive and engage in crime to support their addiction.Projects like YETEP reated in 2012 bring comprehesive employment and entreprenuership to young people and enabling or giving them access to capital through government funding opportunities for sustainable livehood
